Basketball Game Preview: Atlantic City Vikings vs. Elizabeth Minutemen

The Atlantic City Vikings just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Elizabeth Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Atlantic City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

On Wednesday, Atlantic City took their match with ease, bagging an 82-51 victory over Atlantic County Institute of Tech. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while Atlantic County Institute of Tech are ranked 274th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Khajuan Roseborough, who posted 29 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Chris Finks, who scored 14 points and seven rebounds.

RoseboRough wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Atlantic City was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Elizabeth's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Union Catholic.

Atlantic City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Elizabeth, their loss ended a 19-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-4.
