Volleyball Game Preview: Horizon Hawks vs. Niwot Cougars + Official Tickets

The Horizon Hawks will square off against the Niwot Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Horizon is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Legacy just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Lightning.

Horizon started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-15.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Niwot, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Longmont on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won four in a row.

Niwot never let Longmont on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-23.

Niwot's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Horizon, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
