SCISA 8-Man Region I (8 Man) recap September 17, 2013

Coastal Christian Prep lost to Charleston Collegiate 82-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Charleston Collegiate led SCISA 8-Man Region I (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 82 points on Coastal Christian Prep. Justin Arnold ran for 160 yards during the win.

Cathedral Academy's dynamic duo of Drew Murray and Christian Gurney proved tough for St. John's Christian Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Murray threw for 141 yards and 3 touchdowns and Gurney had 100 yards receiving.

The Generals' dynamic duo of Murray and Gurney proved to be unstoppable against the Cavaliers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Murray put up the best numbers through the air as Cathedral Academy beat St. John's Christian Academy.

Gurney was the best wideout in the league this week as Rick Howell's team beat Matthew Gilbert's team.

He went 8-11 with 1 interceptions.

Joseph Wilson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Henry Academy fell to Coastal HomeSchool.

Wilson was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 190 yards on 28 carries as the Patriots topped the Cavaliers. Teammate Will Tuten added to the ground attack by rushing for 111 yards.

Leading SCISA 8-Man Region I (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards, Faith Christian's Jonathan Feagin and Logan Winningham have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Feagin has thrown for 218 yards this season, while Winningham has 8 catches for 146 yards. Wilson from Henry Academy leads the league in rushing with 804 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place James Island Christian takes on second place Henry Academy.

Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when Mike McCoy's team takes on James Island Christian. The Patriots' offense has scored 136 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while James Island Christian has allowed only 37 on the year.

The Knights fell from third to fifth in the league, the largest drop in the standings this week. The drop came about by way of a 38-22 loss to Beaufort Academy during the week.
