Volleyball Recap: Jackson Academy Wins High-Profile Contest Against Madison Central

Jackson Academy faced Madison Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Raiders came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

While Jackson Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Madison Central scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19.

Carson Caraway paced Jackson Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Caraway got some help from Darby Horn and her 11 assists. Sarah Yung controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Jackson Academy's win bumped their record up to 22-6-1. As for Madison Central, their loss dropped their record down to 20-7.

Jackson Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Brandon on the 20th. As for Madison Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Ocean Springs on the 20th.
