Basketball Recap: Trinity Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Trinity's game on Tuesday was all tied up 23-23 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 57-49 victory over the DePaul College Prep Rams. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 32-30 back in December of 2024.

DePaul College Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Giordano, who posted 17 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Giordano continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Kaitlin Totaro was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Trinity is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for DePaul College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-11.

Trinity will square off against Saint Ignatius College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Saint Ignatius College Prep comes in on nine and Trinity on three. As for DePaul College Prep, they will challenge Aurora Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. DePaul College Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.
