Spruce Creek won the last time they faced New Smyrna Beach and things went their way on Monday too. The Spruce Creek Hawks walked away with a 49-42 victory over the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

New Smyrna Beach lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ray Knight, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 13 points and six rebounds. That's the most points Knight has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Solomon Williams, who posted nine points.

Spruce Creek is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for New Smyrna Beach, they moved to 15-7 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
