Volleyball Recap: Logan Grizzlies vs. Bear River Bears
Logan extended their losing streak to eight on Tuesday, dropping them down to 5-9. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bear River Bears. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
As for Bear River, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since October 4, 2024.
Bear River found their leader in sophomore Kailyn Rice, who had 23 digs and five aces. Those 23 digs set a new season-high mark for Rice.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Logan will face off against Roy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bear River, they will square off against Mountain Crest at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Bears their first taste of in-conference action this season.
