Baseball Recap: Cornerstone Charter Academy Comes Up Short

Cornerstone Charter Academy lost against Tohopekaliga back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ducks came up short against the Tigers, falling 15-5. The Ducks just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Cornerstone Charter Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Efrain Rivera, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another was Connor Luckado, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI.

Cornerstone Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Tohopekaliga, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Cornerstone Charter Academy will square off against Windermere Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lakers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.1 runs per game on average), something the Ducks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tohopekaliga, they will challenge Cypress Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
