Football Recap: Ganado's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Ganado lost against Page back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hornets came up short against the Sand Devils, falling 33-7. The matchup marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Page got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joseph Benally out in front who rushed for 78 yards on only six carries, and also threw for 80 yards and two TDs. Another player making a difference was Caleb Nix, who rushed for 69 yards and one score.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ganado fell to 4-1. As for Page, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Ganado will look to defend their home field on the 26th against Monument Valley at 7:00 p.m. The Hornets will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 45.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Page, they will venture away from home to take on Window Rock at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The Sand Devils are facing the Fighting Scouts at the right time seeing as the Fighting Scouts are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
