Softball Recap: Dickinson Takes a Loss

Dickinson's last matchup with Clear Lake could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Tuesday. The Dickinson Gators lost 13-3 to the Clear Lake Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gators of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Sammie Paukert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Bri Ramirez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Dickinson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Clear Lake, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dickinson will venture away from home to square off against Brazoswood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clear Lake, they will head out on the road to take on Deer Park at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Clear Lake will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
