Basketball Game Preview: Apache Warriors vs. Fort Cobb-Broxton Mustangs

The Apache Warriors will challenge the Fort Cobb-Broxton Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Apache will be strutting in after a win while Fort Cobb-Broxton will be coming in after a loss.

Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Apache beat Mountain View-Gotebo 50-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Fort Cobb-Broxton ended up a good deal behind Amber-Pocasset on Friday and lost 64-45. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Panthers are ranked 49th).

Apache is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Fort Cobb-Broxton, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Apache strolled past Fort Cobb-Broxton in their previous matchup back in January of 2018 by a score of 51-37. Does Apache have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fort Cobb-Broxton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
