Baseball Game Preview: Jamestown Eagles vs. Nansemond River Warriors

The Jamestown Eagles will square off against the Nansemond River Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece dating back to last season.

Jamestown fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Lafayette on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 9-8.

Meanwhile, Nansemond River scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Grassfield by a score of 6-5.

Buddy Baker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those RBI were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Evan Askew, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Jamestown's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Nansemond River, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
