Volleyball Recap: University Starts off Right with Win over Elizabeth + How To Watch

University gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Elizabeth Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

One reason for the win was University's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-11, 25-8.

Their offense was headlined by Jordan Halley and Delaney Lauer, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Kenley Rudiger and her 17 assists. Lauer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

University will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Riverdale Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elizabeth, they will host Canon City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
