Baseball Recap: Jonesboro-Hodge Comes Up Short

Jonesboro-Hodge lost against Ringgold back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 17-7 to the Redskins. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly ten runs.

Jonesboro-Hodge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marquis Baker, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Baker has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another was Trey Trosclair, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Jonesboro-Hodge has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Ringgold, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Jonesboro-Hodge will challenge Lakeview at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ringgold, they will head out to take on Plain Dealing at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
