Basketball Recap: Burroughs Takes a Loss

Burroughs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt an 88-59 loss at the hands of the Oak Hills Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Burros can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 981st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 77th).

Burroughs' defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Oak Hills, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-4.

Burroughs will head out on the road to take on Apple Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oak Hills, they will take on Serrano at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Oak Hills knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Serrano likes a good challenge.
