Volleyball Recap: Metro-East Lutheran Comes Up Short

Metro-East Lutheran lost against Granite City back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Knights fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Metro-East Lutheran actually scored more points across those three sets (68-65), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 15-25, 25-21.

Metro-East Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Granite City, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9.

Looking ahead, Metro-East Lutheran will welcome Althoff Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Granite City, they will challenge Belleville West at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
