After a string of six wins, Lakeview's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 58-41 bruising from the Kent City Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 309th, while the Eagles are ranked 126th).

Lakeview's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Kent City, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Lakeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kent City, they will be playing at home against Ravenna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Kent City has won seven straight at home, while Ravenna won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
