Midway has gone 8-2 against Copperas Cove recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Midway Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs at 1:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Midway is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Steele just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. Their2024 ended with a 64-46 defeat against the Knights. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Knights are ranked 35th).

Meanwhile, Copperas Cove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 51-31 to Glenn. The Bulldawgs were down 49-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Midway's record is now 12-8. As for Copperas Cove, their record now sits at 8-16.

Midway was able to grind out a solid win over Copperas Cove in their previous meeting back in January, winning 51-38. Will Midway repeat their success, or does Copperas Cove have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
