Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Defeat Ends Forestview's Winning Streak

It was fun while it lasted, but Forestview's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Cuthbertson Cavaliers by a score of 60-58. The contest marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Forestview lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Daijhon Young, who posted 12 points in addition to six boards and five steals. The dominant performance gave Young a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Alex Helton, who put up 13 points and five boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Forestview fell to 4-1. As for Cuthbertson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Forestview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 90-60 defeat against North Lincoln on the 5th. As for Cuthbertson, they will take on West Mecklenburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cuthbertson is facing West Mecklenburg at the right time seeing as West Mecklenburg is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
