Baseball Recap: McCallie Takes a Loss

McCallie fell victim to Knoxville Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Fighting Irish, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Fighting Irish this season, with their most recent defeat being a 18-9 loss on Tuesday.

McCallie has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. The win made it two in a row for Knoxville Catholic and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

Coming up, McCallie will challenge Chicago Hope Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Knoxville Catholic, they will face off against Central at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
