Volleyball Game Preview: Eno River Academy Bobcats vs. Triangle Math & Science Tigers

The Eno River Academy Bobcats will take on the Triangle Math & Science Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Triangle Math & Science took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Eno River Academy, who comes in off a win.

Eno River Academy barely beat Falls Lake the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Firebirds with a sharp 3-0 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Firebirds: they've now won three in a row.

While Eno River Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Triangle Math & Science unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of NCSSM: Durham by a score of 3-2. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Unicorns 25-21 in the first set.

Triangle Math & Science actually scored more points across those five sets (110-105), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-20, 29-27, 15-25, 15-13.

Triangle Math & Science's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Eno River Academy, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.

Eno River Academy skirted past Triangle Math & Science 2-1 in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
