Basketball Recap: Palm Grove Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against The Classical Academy of Sarasota last Friday, Palm Grove Christian came back down to earth. The Palm Grove Christian Gators came up short against Land O' Lakes Christian on Tuesday, falling 63-42. The Gators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Land O' Lakes Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2018.

When it comes to explaining why Palm Grove Christian lost, don't look at Carter Baker. Despite the final result, he went 9 for 22 on his way to 21 points. With that strong performance, Baker is now averaging an impressive 15.7 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Pitts, who posted ten points.

Palm Grove Christian's record now sits at 4-3. As for Land O' Lakes Christian, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3.
