Basketball Recap: Kalskag Comes Up Short

Kalskag was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 69-58 to the Chaputnguak Shaman.

Chaputnguak got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Felagai Laumea out in front who posted 22 points. Another player making a difference was Placid John, who had 20 points.

Kalskag's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Chaputnguak, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

Kalskag has already played their next contest, an 87-51 defeat against Nelson Island on the 7th. As for Chaputnguak, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-39 loss against Aniak on the 7th.
