Basketball Recap: Emma Wallace Key Part of Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

There's no place like home for Burns, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Highland Tech Rams by a score of 57-44 on Monday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Burns' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Wallace led the charge by putting up 20 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Wallace is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Greene, who posted 12 points and seven steals.

Burns' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points over those games. As for Highland Tech, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 16 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Burns wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-51 defeat against Shelby on the 18th. Highland Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
