Emmanuel Christian Academy hadn't done well against Yellow Springs recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The Lions not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 19, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Emmanuel Christian Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21, 25-15.

Mya Lawrence had an outrageously good game as she had 11 digs and seven aces. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Pheoby Hamastra, who had ten digs and two aces.

Emmanuel Christian Academy's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4. As for Yellow Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Emmanuel Christian Academy will take on Tri-County North at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Yellow Springs, they will challenge Miami Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
