Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Addison Trail). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Proviso East Pirates a 16-0 shutout on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blazers considering their one-run performance the game before.

Addison Trail has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Proviso East, their loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Addison Trail will take on Hinsdale Central at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blazers are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Proviso East, they will face off against Leyden at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
