Softball Recap: Agape Christian Knights vs. Cobden Appleknockers
Agape Christian extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 2-7 in the process. They lost 9-2 to the Cobden Appleknockers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Appleknockers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-8 last Monday.
As for Cobden, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.
For Cobden's part, Abby Pitts made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Pitts was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Alivia Kilpatrick was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Emma Roberts, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
