Baseball Recap: Wakefield Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Wakefield's offense. They came up short against Harvard-Westlake on Wednesday, falling 16-0. The game marked the first time this season in which Wakefield was not able to get on the board.

Wakefield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Thomas, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Wakefield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Harvard-Westlake, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Wakefield will be taking part in a tournament against Gloucester Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harvard-Westlake, they will challenge Loyola at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
