Cobden lost against Zeigler-Royalton back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Appleknockers fell 2-0 to the Tornadoes. The Appleknockers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Cobden was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Natalie Franklin and Alivia Kilpatrick, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Amelia Long and her 13 assists. Ava Rothweiler controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Cobden's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Zeigler-Royalton, their victory ended a six-match drought at home and bumped them up to 12-16.

Coming up, Cobden will welcome Century at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Zeigler-Royalton, they will head out on the road to challenge Sesser-Valier at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
