Soccer Game Preview: Rouse vs. Cedar Ridge

The Rouse Raiders will face off against the Cedar Ridge Raiders at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Rouse's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Rouse is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Marble Falls on Thursday. Rouse took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marble Falls. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Cedar Ridge's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to Southwest. The loss was the Raiders' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cedar Ridge fell to 3-1. As for Rouse, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Rouse took their victory against Cedar Ridge in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0. Will Rouse repeat their success, or does Cedar Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
