District 10 Region 2 A recap October 29, 2013

Youngsville lost to Eisenhower 56-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Iroquois and Union City played the closest game in District 10 Region 2 A this week, with Iroquois eventually emerging with a 33-27 victory.

Chad Eisenhooth threw for 166 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 9-14 with 1 interception.

Devin Walker was the best running back in the league this week. In 3 carries, he ran for 175 yards as Cambridge Springs bested the Eagles. Colton Noble also contributed to the rushing game with 111 yards on the ground.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Eisenhower's Rob Wilston and Johnson have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-8 quarterback Wilston has thrown for 961 yards this season, while Johnson has 16 catches for 320 yards. The Devils' Noble leads the league in rushing yards with 1,424.

Mercyhurst Prep's Baer Eric is a mere 33 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 145 carries Eric has accumulated 967 yard this year.

Cochranton made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,608 from 11,336. The improvement was largely due to a 48-6 victory over Maplewood last week.
