Baseball Game Preview: Chouteau-Mazie Wildcats vs. Summit Christian Academy Eagles

For the second straight game, Chouteau-Mazie will face off against Summit Christian Academy. Chouteau-Mazie will head out on the road to square off against Summit Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Chouteau-Mazie turned things around against Summit Christian Academy on Monday. They skirted past the Eagles 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since May 3, 2024.

Lucas Grossman made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Chouteau-Mazie is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-8 otherwise. Grossman was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other pitching news, Seth Meyers looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits.

Grossman wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kyler Hill, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Blane Battles also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Chouteau-Mazie's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Summit Christian Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6.
