Saranac Lake skates past AuSable Valley with ease

Recap: Saranac Lake Red Storm vs. AuSable Valley Patriots
The Saranac Lake Red Storm scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat AuSable Valley 62-30 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Saranac Lake has managed all season.
It was another big night for Caleb Akey, who scored 23 points along with nine steals and six assists. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Mccarthy, who scored five points along with eight assists and four steals.
The win got Saranac Lake back to even at 2-2. As for AuSable Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saranac Lake's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Tupper Lake at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Tupper Lake knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Saranac Lake likes a good challenge. AuSable Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Ticonderoga at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
