It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. John-Vianney had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They never let the Notre Dame Irish get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.

St. John-Vianney has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Coming up, St. John-Vianney will take on Donovan Catholic on Thursday. The Griffins will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight. Notre Dame does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
