If Itasca was feeling good fresh off their 55-34 takedown of Rio Vista last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Itasca Wampus Cats fell 46-33 to the Live Oak Classical Falcons on Friday. The Wampus Cats' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Leading Live Oak Classical to victory were Ashlyn Helton and Audrey Pahmiyer. Helton almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine steals, while Pahmiyer posted 14 points in addition to five assists and four steals. Those 11 points gave Helton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Stella Sriram, who had eight points and five rebounds.

Itasca's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Live Oak Classical, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.

Itasca will challenge Valley Mills at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Live Oak Classical, they will head out to face off against Mart at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Mart is coming into the contest with five straight wins at home, so Live Oak Classical will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
