            Softball Preview: Highland Park Hornets vs. Sanford-Fritch Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            The Highland Park Hornets will square off against the Sanford-Fritch Eagles at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Highland Park is coming into the  matchup on  a  four-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Highland Park came up short against Booker  and fell  7-4.

 Kaitlin Lucas put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out 18 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and six unearned) runs off   two  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than ten  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Aubrey Drerup was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring a  run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Aaliyah Robinson, who  went 1-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Sanford-Fritch didn't have quite enough to beat Sunray on Tuesday and fell  13-12. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Highland Park's loss dropped their record down to 5-16-1. As for Sanford-Fritch, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
