It was a good run, but Old Saybrook unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Saturday. They lost 4-0 to the East Lyme Vikings. While losing is never fun, Old Saybrook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut soccer rankings (they are ranked 29th, while East Lyme are ranked first).

Old Saybrook's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for East Lyme, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Old Saybrook will head out to challenge Coginchaug Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Lyme, they will square off against Norwich Free Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
