Recap: Chico Panthers vs. Shasta Wolves
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Placer, the Chico Panthers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Shasta 62-34 at home. That's another feather in the cap for Chico, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Chico was led to victory by Magnus Nielsen and Johnny Padilla. Nielsen scored 14 points along with five rebounds, while Padilla scored 17 points. Padilla continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Brott, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Chico's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Shasta, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
Chico will head out on the road to face off against Enterprise at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Enterprise and Chico are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Shasta, they will be playing at home against Red Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
