Basketball Recap: Augusta Prep Takes a Loss

Augusta Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 65-54 to the Evans Knights.

Despite the loss, Augusta Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jayden Jackson posted 18 points. Scott Williams was another key player, putting up ten points.

Augusta Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Evans, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Augusta Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-42 victory against Gatewood on the 2nd. As for Evans, they will face off against Grovetown at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
