Basketball Recap: Big Valley Sets Scoring Season-High Against Herlong

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Big Valley). They walked away with a 54-47 win over the Herlong Vikings on Friday. That's the two time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 41-40 last Thursday.

Big Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Connor Kenobbie, who made all 8 shots he took racking up 16 points. Another player making a difference was Leif Lewis, who posted 15 points.

Despite the loss, Herlong still got an impressive performance from Thomas Wolf, who had 22 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Gauge Carrier, who earned 14 points.

The victory got Big Valley back to even at 2-2. As for Herlong, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Big Valley will head out to challenge Surprise Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Herlong, they will take on Paradise Adventist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Herlong has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
