Owensboro Catholic has gone a perfect 10-0 against Owensboro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Owensboro Catholic Aces will challenge the Owensboro Red Devils at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Things were looking good for Owensboro Catholic after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Union County by a score of 6-5.

Lily Logsdon was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Emma Riney was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Owensboro fell victim to Muhlenberg County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Red Devils' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row dating back to last season.

Owensboro Catholic beat Owensboro 5-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Owensboro Catholic since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
