Football Game Preview: Bellefonte Raiders vs. Juniata Indians

Bellefonte hasn't had much luck against Juniata recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Raiders will face off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bellefonte's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Greater Johnstown 34-0. That looming 34-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Raiders yet this season.

Meanwhile, Juniata was able to grind out a solid victory over Upper Dauphin Area last Friday, taking the game 14-7. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Bellefonte better keep an eye on Jasper Shepps. He was instrumental in Juniata's win, picking up 87 receiving yards and one score. Shepps also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Bellefonte's record now sits at 5-6. As for Juniata, their record is now 6-4.

Bellefonte ended up a good deal behind Juniata in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, losing 20-6. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
