Volleyball Recap: Bloomington North Comes Up Short on the Road Against Floyd Central

Bloomington North had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Floyd Central Highlanders, falling 3-0. The Cougars have struggled against the Highlanders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-13.

Bloomington North's loss came despite strong showings from Ally O'Guinn and Jenna Newby. O'Guinn had 12 digs and one assist, while Newby had 15 assists and three digs.

Floyd Central found their leader in sophomore Autumn Engle, who had ten digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Casteel, who had ten digs and one assist.

Coming up, Bloomington North will head out on the road to take on Columbus East at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Floyd Central, they will welcome Silver Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
