Softball Recap: Mohawk Area Comes Up Short

Mohawk Area extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 10-6 in the process. They came up short against the Neshannock Lancers, falling 11-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Warriors, who until this match were averaging four runs allowed.

As for Neshannock, the win keeps they at an undefeated 17-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games.

For Neshannock's part, the team relied heavily on Miley Anderson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Jaidon Nogay was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Coming up, Mohawk Area will face off against Sharpsville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season. As for Neshannock, they will host Elizabeth Forward at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
