Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bixby). They put the hurt on the Westmoore Jaguars with a sharp 73-53 victory on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Spartans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Jaguars are ranked 15th).

Bixby moved to 5-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Westmoore, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.

Bixby will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Owasso at 8:00 p.m. One thing working in Owasso's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. Westmoore has already played their next match (against Union), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
