Basketball Recap: Harrison Comes Up Short

Harrison lost to Ross back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.

Despite the loss, Harrison saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Dillon Witt went 7-for-13 to rack up 18 points and seven boards. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for Witt. Mitchell Mercurio was another key player, putting up eight points.

Harrison has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Ross, they pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Harrison didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-29 victory against Lawrenceburg on the 13th. As for Ross, they have also already played their next matchup, a 73-59 win against Bellbrook on the 13th.
