Baseball Recap: Cheverus Gets the Win

Cheverus had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 3-9 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Windham Eagles 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Stags have posted since April 29th.

As for Windham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-12. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Cheverus since on Tuesday.

For Windham's part, Cayden McCartney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on eight hits.

At the plate, Windham saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mike Redlon, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
