The Dominican Knights will challenge the St. Catherine's Angels at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dominican is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Dominican's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Pulaski 14-0. The high-scoring effort was just what the Knights needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Joseph Cabral made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Michael Perez-Cruz, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. He has become a key player for Dominican: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Austin Wheelock, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Dominican was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, St. Catherine's was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to Racine Horlick.
Dominican's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10. As for St. Catherine's, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Dominican has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like St. Catherine's struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Dominican's way against St. Catherine's when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Dominican made off with an 11-1 victory. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Angels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
