Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Trinity Christian Academy lost against Jackson Christian last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions lost 9-3 to the Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly six runs.

Owen Atwood made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. He has become a key player for Trinity Christian Academy: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-10 otherwise.

Trinity Christian Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-11. As for Jackson Christian, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian Academy will head out to challenge Madison at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jackson Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Lexington at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
