Football Recap: Jefferson Extends Winning Streak to Three

Jefferson put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Santee Falcons by a score of 33-20. That's more bragging rights for the Democrats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jefferson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Nyla Gayle and Helen Serrano. Gayle is also crushing it when it comes to receiving touchdowns: she's hauled in at least two every time she's taken the field this season. Serrano got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Santee, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Jefferson and Santee will both be playing WISH Academy the next time they take the field. The Democrats will head out to face the Owls at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Falcons will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
